What is a standalone device?

An unlocked device is a mobile phone that you buy without a subscription. This means you only pay for the device itself, without monthly costs for a subscription or provider. With an unlocked device, you are free to choose whether you use a prepaid card or later take out a separate subscription. This gives you the freedom to easily switch providers and have complete control over your call, text, and data bundles. All unlocked devices are, of course, Sim-Lock free and are supplied as brand new, sealed devices in their original box.
